2025 Year Review

Reflection is a big part of my life, both personal and in the studio. This starts with dedicated documentation and journaling for each month throughout the year, allowing me a deep resource to look back on. Each year I like to sit down and sift through everything I achieved in the previous year, putting together the highlights. I always find myself pleasantly surprised by all the things I had forgotten about.

Thoughts

Looking back, 2025 was a phenomenal year. I’ve been so focused on my solo exhibition, I forgot about all I achieved earlier in the year. To have completed almost enough paintings for an average of one a week is insane. I never would have thought that was even possible. I already know I’m going to try that challenge one day... not 2026 though.

This year I felt more connected than ever to my creative community, especially after all the collaboration on my show. For some this comes naturally, but for me as an introvert it’s taken many years and a heap of emotional effort to foster those relationships. I don’t open up easily - if I did with you, that means you’re special to me.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of my life this year, and hopefully many more to come.
